Next Design V4 Extension Released
We are pleased to announce the release of additional enhancements for Next Design V4. These new features expand the range of design expression and greatly improve work efficiency and automation.
-
Increased expressiveness through extended markdown notation and dynamic content generation
- Design information can be described in an easy-to-understand manner by interweaving markdown and extended notation diagrammatic representation.
- Scripts can be used to dynamically generate content to freely express aggregate model information and other results.
-
Improved usability of partial model file loading function
- In addition to the standard Enterprise edition manual loading of model files, unloaded models in the editor can be loaded together or by selecting a target model from a list.
-
Utilize CI/CD with Next Design for CLI and NDMerge for Linux
- Next Design "NDCLI," a newly developed command line version of Next Design that also runs on Linux, is newly added to the lineup. Combined with user-specific extensions, it accelerates process automation through CI/CD.
- With the addition of NDMerge for Linux, many CI/CD environments can incorporate a model merge process.
Next Design V4 users can download these extensions free of charge and use them immediately. We hope you will take advantage of them!
1. increased expressiveness through extended markdown notation and dynamic content generation
In addition to general markdown notation, design information can be expressed in an easy-to-understand manner by interweaving diagrammatic representation using extended notation. In addition, by embedding scripts and dynamically generating content, model information and aggregate results can be freely expressed.
- An example of design information in extended markdown notation
- An example of model information aggregation by dynamic content generation with scripts
The above can be achieved by installing the Extension: MarkdownEditor package.

2. improved usability of partial model file loading function
The partial model file loading functionality that comes standard with the Enterprise edition is now available in a more convenient way. You can load unloaded models in the editor in one click, or select a model from a list and load it.
- Example of batch loading unloaded models in the editor
- Example of selecting unloaded models while following a tree structure similar to the Model Navigator
The above can be achieved by installing the extension: PartialLoad.Enhanced package.

Utilization of CI/CD by Next Design for CLI and NDMerge for Linux
CLI version Next Design "NDCLI"
NDCLI is a Next Design-compatible cross-platform tool for automating model validation and generation on the command line. By incorporating it into CI/CD, you can build a tool chain centered on the design information digital transformation by digital transformation Design.
