In Next Design V5.1, we have improved loading performance for large-scale projects.

  Speed Up Project Launch

  • Even in large-scale development projects with many participating developers and an increasing number of design data and models, it minimizes the wait time between opening a file and starting the design process. Even as the project grows, you can consolidate design data in Next Design and smoothly begin your daily design work.

  Combine it with partial loading for even greater comfort

  • We’ve also improved the partial-load feature, which allows you to configure the system to load only the files needed for each developer. We’ve added an on-demand loading feature that automatically loads unloaded models when they’re needed. By configuring the system to load only the minimum number of files under normal circumstances, you can enjoy smooth performance and design comfortably without ever feeling the hassle of having to load additional files.

Both designers and AI agents can utilize the design models and relationships between models stored in Next Design. AI agents assist with creating, editing, reviewing, and verifying models while referencing the design information in Next Design. Designers can review the results created or proposed by the AI in Next Design and proceed with their work while making adjustments to align with their design intent.

  Directly incorporate AI output data into Next Design's design information

  • There is no need to import text or files generated by the AI into Next Design as design information. Since the AI can directly import and export design information from Next Design, the content of the conversation can be reflected directly in the design deliverables.

  Structured design information serves as the foundation for AI applications

  • The design information managed by Next Design includes structured data—such as requirements, designs, and tests—based on a metamodel, as well as information on relationships between models and traceability. By referencing this design information, AI can efficiently perform tasks such as assessing the scope of impact when design changes are made.
  • By utilizing Next Design’s actual design data, AI will make Next Design a common development platform for both humans and AI.

With Next Design MCP, you can view and edit Next Design design information from compatible AI agents.   • There is no need to configure MCP or Skills individually, and updates become easier to manage.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a mechanism for connecting AI agents to external tools and data. By using Next Design MCP, you can view and edit Next Design design information from compatible AI agents.

With Next Design MCP, AI agents not only become capable of handling Next Design’s design information, but—thanks to Next Design-specific Skills—they also understand “how to proceed with design work within Next Design.” By leveraging their knowledge of Next Design and its workflows, they provide support for more specific tasks. The AI can be used not only to operate Next Design but also for tasks that require specialized knowledge to utilize Next Design effectively, such as building profiles, migrating existing design assets, and developing extensions.Because the AI understands how to work with Next Design, designers can create actual deliverables while interacting with the AI.
