Early Access Availability Begins for Next Design V1.1 Beta
DENSO CREATE INC. (Headquarters: Naka-ku, Nagoya; President: Toshikazu Hayashi), a company handling numerous embedded software developments for automobiles, has begun providing the V1.1 beta version of its design tool "Next Design" starting July 31, 2020, ahead of its general commercial release.
Next Design was created as a design tool to accelerate development cycles by driving digital transformation of design processes in the field, amidst situations where large-scale, complex systems and software must inevitably be developed concurrently. Next Design can be configured as a specialized design tool by tailoring the "metamodel," which defines the structure and relationships of design information across processes, and the "view definitions" for diagram and document representation to match the perspectives and purposes of the development floor. This allows design methods and processes unique to the development site—previously expressed in Word, Excel, UML, or SysML—to be organized and tool-supported, enabling organization-wide sharing of design data while maintaining traceability. Furthermore, developing freely extensible extensions enables various automations such as design verification and integration with other tools.
