[Advance Notice] Important notes regarding the Next Design V4.0 update
This notice is intended for the following users:
- Users of V3.1
- Developers of extensions for V3.1
Thank you for using Next Design on a regular basis.
Next Design V4.0, a major update to the next-generation system and software design tool Next Design, is scheduled for release around February 2025. V4.0 will introduce new features to further improve productivity and quality in design workflows, such as profile reuse and editor tabbed browsing. Stay tuned.
Ahead of the release, we would like to inform you of important considerations regarding the update to V4.0. Even if you do not update to V4.0 and continue developing extensions for V3.1, action may be required in some cases. Please review the following details.
a) Users updating to V4.0
There will be changes to updating extended content, how on-premise floating licenses are used, and the behavior of certain APIs. Please check the following page for details.
b) Users continuing to use V3.1
If you continue developing extensions for V3.1 without updating to V4.0, you may need to change the settings of your extension development project. Please check the following page for details.
